Dr. Charles E. Miller, The Advanced Gynecologic Surgery Institute - Park Ridge, IL
Our SRS/ASRM Fellowship program is designed to enable the fellow to gain proficiency in fertility enhancing minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, while advancing skills in the diagnosis and treatment of the infertile couple, including those requiring ART. It is our desire that our fellow graduate not only as a specialist, knowledgeable in all aspects in the diagnosis and treatment of the infertile couple, but as a reproductive surgeon as well.
The fellowship is under the direction of Charles E. Miller, MD FACOG, a Past President of the AAGL and ISGE, and whose practice is equally divided between care of the infertile couple and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Along with Dr. Miller, his two partners, Aarathi Cholkeri-Singh, MD FACOG and Kirsten Sasaki, MD FACOG, both AAGL/ASRM MIGS fellowship graduates, will perform surgery with the fellow, including the treatment of advanced stage endometriosis, often times utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, laparoscopic & hysteroscopic myomectomy, ovarian cystectomy, laparoscopic & hysteroscopic lysis of adhesions, hysteroscopic proximal tubal cannulation, tubal reanastomosis, septum resection, proctoscopy and cystoscopy. Approximately 30% of laparoscopic surgery will be performed utilizing robotic assistance, while many of the hysteroscopic procedures will be performed in office.
As our group takes great pride in our commitment to clinical research and are quite published, it is our expectation that the SRS/ASRM fellow will be involved in active research.
